“Time is a sneaky piece of deception to the eyes of the human race; only God can decipher it. Time will creep up on you in a matter of seconds. Time can seem like it’s guaranteed when it’s not.”

Indeed! Only God can control it. By His grace He allows us to use it and we must redeem it for His glory.

Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)
