Here is the last part of a three-part study of this parable. You may read the previous parts here, Part 1 and/or Part 2.

Let’s continue with our study. In the previous article, we saw that there were three persons involved in the arrangement of the event: The king, the king’s son (who will be the bridegroom), and the servants. We posed the question:

So, there is the Bridegroom, but where is the Bride?

To consummate the event the king invited three groups of people to the wedding banquet and they are:

  1. Those who were invited made light of the king’s invitation by giving various kinds of excuses. They did not want to come.
  2. Those who were not on the invitation list but were eventually called and did come. They consist of various kinds of people from the lower level of society.
  3. Then there is one person among the second group who was cast out because he did not wear a wedding garment. He represents an individual in the church. He could be anyone who…
