MEMENTO MORI!” Thank you Al Roman for the sobering words.

Yes, indeed! Remember Death! For each day brings us closer there.

Two things no man is certain: the time of his death and the time of Christ’s return to judge the living and even the dead. Whichever time comes first, the state of man’s soul will determine each man’s eternal destiny. There are also two destinies, no neutral ground.

Which state shall we be? Jesus Christ shows us both:

In John 9:4 he says,

“I must work the works of Him who sent me, while it still day: night comes when no man can work.

And in Luke 12:16-20, he spoke a parable unto them, saying,

The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, “What shall I do, because I have no room to store my crops?” And he said, “This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, ‘Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.” But God said unto him, “You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then whose shall those things be, which you have prepared?”

CARPE DIEM! Seize the day! For tommorow might not be there!
