Grace to you Ed! Thank you for writing this article.

I wish to point out that there are only 6 months (the most) when John the Baptist began his ministry ahead of that of Jesus.

1. The Bible tells us in Luke 1:36 that when Mary was told that she would bear a son, her cousin Elizabeth was already 6 months pregnant with John.

2. John the Baptist can only enter the service of the Lord from thirty years old, the priestly age according to the Law (Numbers 4:1-3).

3. So Jesus Himself was baptized by John when Jesus was thirty years old (Luke 3:23). Only then can Jesus began His ministry.

I wrote two articles related to this topic.

May God continually bless you in your labor. Shalom.
