Ask God, sister. You will find the answer in His word. You have set your foot right by speaking to Him. Continue to walk in fellowship with Him. He will never leave you, nor forsake you for He promised:
“If you abide in Me, and (you let) My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.” (John 15:7)
O Father, sanctify her in Your word for Your word is truth.
I remember an old friend who is a Hindu and he took me to a small room in his new apartment he reserved an altar for statues of his Hindu gods. He told me that he will also placed there images of Buddha and that which he called Jesus so that he can receive blessings from all sources.
Here is an account in the Bible that might give us a hint of what God feels in this situation. 1 Samuel 5:2-7 tells us,
When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon (their god), and set it by Dagon. And when they of Ashdod arose early the next day, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD.
And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again. And when they arose early the next day morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.
Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day. But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and He destroyed them, and struck them with tumors, even Ashdod and the territory thereof.
And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for His hand is heavy upon us, and upon Dagon our god.
Here is what apostle Paul told the new Christians in Thessalonica (1 Thessalonians 5:14-23)
“Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are idle, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.”
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesying. Test all things (against the word of God); hold fast to what is good.”
“Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The apostle John further warns us in his epistle (1 John 4:1):
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
Finally, our Lord Jesus assures us by His own words:
“If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.” (John 14:15-17)
“He that has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” (John 14:21)
“…If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:23-27)
The love of God, and the grace of Christ, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you, my sister! Amen.
