Amen to all your points, Adam! The only way to victory is neither to be on the right nor on the left but to be on the Lord's side (Joshua 1:7). We see this in the book of Joshua when he asked the captain of the Lord's army, “Are You for us or for our enemies?”

He said, “Neither, for I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.” Then Joshua fell with his face to the ground and worshipped. Then he said, “What does my Lord wish to say to His servant?” (Joshua 5:14)

We cannot even be on our own side but only on the Lord's side.
